She will be attending Midlands Technical College (MTC) this fall majoring in Architectural Engineering Technology (AET).  During this challenging year dealing with COVID, her interest in designing and building houses grew. A degree in AET will allow her to explore her enjoyment of Art and her passion for designing. She hopes to design buildings and homes for different companies and people.  This program at MTC will provide her an opportunity to learn the skills needed to fulfill her dreams, as well as prepare her for the workforce.

Matthew plans to attend Job Corp to learn a trade.  After completing his studies at Job Corp, he aspires to gain employment to raise funds for his future college education. Matthew believes that with his drive and faith in God, he will be successful.  Matthew is excited for the future and thankful for the support of his family and church.

Mark’s number one goal is to continue to seek and put God first in his life, bonding and developing a stronger and closer relationship with him. Also, operating within his gift and ministries God has called upon him to be a part of in carrying outhis plans. Mark will pursue employment in relations to his degree. He plans to further his education by pursuing a Bachelor’s degree with a minor in Youth Ministry. Later, he will pursue a master’s degree in Business Administration/Management as well.

Markita’s future goals are to prayerfully pursue a career in leadership by either leading or starting her own child development center. It has also been in her heart to one day start a youth ministry summer camp program for children of all ages.

Briana will continue her career co-leading the nonprofit organization ContraCOVID and working full time as a NYC Research Scientist. Her 5-year goal is to develop programs to address and decrease health disparities among people of color in third world countries.

Carmita graduated with honors and a GPA of 3.85. She plans to work in a school setting as a Social Worker. School Social Workers link the home, school, and community to provide direct and indirect services to students, families, and school personnel to promote and support student’s academic and social success.
Carmita (Dee Dee) Capers is the wife of Rev. Eric Capers. She is also the mother of Eric, Yasmene, and Ariel Capers.
